About Me

My name is Rachelle Doyle and in the spirit of Ubuntu, I am a friend, a daughter, a team member, a colleague, a classmate, a cousin, a mentor, and a leader. These are some of the most important roles I play in my life and these relationships led me to the decision to pursue a Masters’s degree from Gonzaga in Organizational Leadership.

As a background, I was born and raised in Sacramento, CA, and continue to stay in my hometown. I spent eight years in marketing and advertising and after understanding a deep passion, I switched over to fundraising, which I currently do (and love). I love creating opportunities for people to build their meaning in the world. Advancement does that.

I initially choose the subject of organizational leadership because I felt like I didn't have the strength to be a leader and wanted to learn how. I now embrace that intentional leadership is a steady practice that looks different on many people.

When I first embarked on my studies, I was talking with a friend about pursuing this degree and they casually remarked how boring they thought that would be. This caught me off guard because I had never considered that studying relationship dynamics within organizations could be perceived as anything less than fascinating and a wonderful opportunity.

This program has strengthened my dedication to intentional communication, my commitment to mindful leadership, and my passion for strengthening relationships through listening.

In order to meet my leadership goals, I commit to showing up, practicing, and to pushing myself outside of my comfort zone, dipping my toes into the fear pond so that I can allow myself to make mistakes and learn effectively.

I also want to continue to learn from the people around me, and from reflecting inwardly.
