Simple.Truth.Love.

If you close your eyes, you will see far. - Proverb

In this episode we discuss the significance of rest, with Marcela Iglesias.

Marcela has over 30 years experience in business, law and education, and a lifetime understanding of the stressors that impact health and well-being. She is now devoted to teaching her clients yoga practices that can help enhance mood and energy and empower them to live the life of their dreams.

She has been a committed practitioner since discovering yoga and meditation nearly 30 years ago. Over the last two decades, she trained with Amy Weintraub and became a Level 2 LifeForce™ Yoga practitioner and studied with Dr. Paula Barros, chiropractor, college professor, and Iyengar-trained, Anusara-inspired teacher. Marcela also completed Duke University’s Integrative Yoga for Seniors Professional Training and trained in Karen Brody’s Daring to Rest™ method of Yoga Nidra, which seeks to empower women to reclaim wellness through restful yoga meditation. She has also trained with Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés at the Institute for Archetypal and Cross-Cultural Studies and is committed to helping others reclaim their Wild Woman and remember this age-old wisdom. She is currently completing a Yoga Wellness Educator Training at Yoga U Online.

Topics include the importance and purpose of rest, types of rest, the culture plays into rest, and yoga.
